Hello all, I checked the Dan River (in Danville) this afternoon and found 7
male Red-breasted Mergansers behind Libby Hill. Yesterday, a friend called to
say the Red Crossbills were back at her feeder in Dry Fork and I got to do the
life bird dance!!! On Saturday, I found 85+ Rusty Blackbirds on the Riverwalk
trail in the swampy area below the Danville Braves (thanks to Tony Adcock for
letting me know they were there!) Not too bad for a weekend!!!
