This morning there were 2 Red-necked Grebes at Newport News Park. One was
near the water pipe that crosses the reservoir, and the other was across
from the spawning pond. Robins were everywhere, and all the expected
woodpeckers except Red-headed were seen. The wind wasn't as strong as
predicted,
so birds were actively foraging which made battling the rain worthwhile.
