While not a bird, otters are still an exciting find.

Despite the drought, a (young?) otter has been hanging around the marsh in
Huntley Meadows for at least the last several days.
?
At 10:30 am?it was weaving in and out of the reeds near the bench that has
been?buried withbranches from the beaver lodge.
?
Sadly, there are only two small areas in the marsh that are still waterlogged
enough for it to swim in.
?
I hope this playful mammal will hang around for awhile.? Knowing the nomadic
nature of these animals;? I wouldn't count on it.
?
So get out there and have a look-see.
