Please do not get me wrong and I certainly do not want to be rude, and this
email is not targeted toward anyone in particular, but --
If you are reporting "no sightings", please at least make it clear in the
subject line. Often I get excited to open a message only to find out there
is nothing to be excited about. In fact, I would argue that such messages
should be limited. I understand, if a particular rare bird has been
sighted, and you went there and did not see it at a particular time, such
message is certainly useful. Something like "Sully Northern Shrike -- NO"
(to give an example) would be very helpful. But to say in general "nothing
to report", I am not really sure what value such messages add.
Again, I do not want to start a debate. Please at least make the subject
line clear. Have a good weekend!
