Ralph Wall, Keith and Christie Huffman, and I birded the upper meadow at
Riverbend Park this morning, starting at about 7:30.
Our best bird was a Tennessee warbler.
We also saw two Magnolia warblers; a black-throated-green warbler; a
bright male Redstart; Two black-and-White warblers; a probable female, Canada
warbler; several Common Yellow-throats; two Red-eyed vireos; several
Phoebes and Peewees, and Ralph reported seeing a probable Philadelphia vireo. A
nice morning in the park. (If you would like to bird there tomorrow morning,
Saturday, be aware that the park is having an Indian festival, and I was told
that they will be charging five dollars for all cars entering the park for any
reason.)
