Weather:
Fairly warm 9.3-13.7C with moderate East Winds early shifting to South and
eventually SW. 100% clouds early gradually decreasing to only 25% cloud
cover. Clear visibility.
Raptor Observations:
A very very slow day with no raptors for the first five hours! The
highlight bird was an immature Golden Eagle that slowly rose up on the east
side of the gap at 1:25pm, gaining height, proceeding to fly west across
the ridge in front of counter Rose Thomas, before sailing south down the
west side of the gap at 1:35.
At 1:46 an immature Bald Eagle rose in the same area but it went north over
the ridge and was not counted.
Non-raptor Observations:
65 Cedar Waxwings

Sunny, 50s, strong west wind.
