Weather:
Moderate WNW Wind until 11am then moderate West wind until 2pm, then light
westerly breezes. Fairly pleasant 7.9-11.6C with a very tough, bright, all
blue sky. Very clear visibility.
Raptor Observations:
A very slow start with no migrant raptors or even Vultures up until shortly
after 10am. Things finally picked up for a slow but steady trickle of
Red-shouldered and Red-tailed Hawks plus a few Accipiters and two more Bald
Eagles (1:21 immature and 2:09 adult).
First Bird-10:10 SS, Last Bird-2:56 RT
Non-raptor Observations:
A decent morning movement of non-raptors including 1 Fish Crow, 1 American
Pipit, 85 Cedar Waxwings, 1 Fox Sparrow, 8 Dark-eyed Juncos, 1 Eastern
Towhee, 92 Red-winged Blackbirds, 1 Rusty Blackbird, 6 Brown-headed
Cowbirds, and 9 Pine Siskins.
