Visitors:
Official Counter Rose Thomas was all by her lonesome self to cover this
hot, slow day. Thank you Rose!
Weather:
Moderate NNE Wind early, gradually becoming calmer and more out of the SW.
A warm day (22.5-33.5 degrees Celsius). Cloudless early with some clouds
in the last few hours. Once again, haze in the Shenandoah Valley to west
(worst in the morning).
Raptor Observations:
A much lower count compared to yesterday's decent flight, one of the 6
raptors tallied today was our season's first Cooper's Hawk.
An adult Bald Eagle was spotted at 9:40am to the west but dropped down into
the trees near the "Brick Plant" in Waynesboro, and was not counted.
Non-raptor Observations:
40+ Barn Swallows, 2 Cedar Waxwings
Predictions:
Hot, sunny, light south wind. Quite possibly another slow day.
