Weather:
A comfortable day. Light North Wind until 1pm then mild SE Breezes. A
chilly start at -0.5C increasing to a day high of 6C at 2pm. No clouds.
Fair visibility with some haze in the distance.
Raptor Observations:
Fairly slow with most birds flying high. The highlight of this
Thanksgiving day was an immature Northern Goshawk that flew across the gap
fast, low, and close in front of us at 2:40pm. Three more Bald Eagles
(12:04 adult, 1:22 2nd-YR, 3:13 3rd-YR). A total of 73 Turkey & 9 Black
Vultures were seen migrating southwards down the west side of the gap
between 3:15-3:30pm. First Raptor: 9:38 SS, Last Raptor: 3:13 BE.
Non-raptor Observations:
47 Fish Crows, 3 Bluebirds, 185 Robins, 1 Pipit, 180 Waxwings, 18 RW
Blackbirds, 2 Purple Finches, 1 Pine Siskin.
