Weather:
A mild day with 6.1-9.2C temps, moderate SE breezes, and varying 5-65%
cloud cover. Fairly clear visibility but a lot of haze in the distance.
Raptor Observations:
Very slow except for a small pulse of activity late morning highlighted by
two immature Bald Eagles (10:01 3rd-YR and 11:06 2nd-YR) and two adult N.
Harriers (10:57 male and 11:51 female). First Raptor: 9:47 RT, Last
Raptor: 2:35 RT.
Non-raptor Observations:
2 Ring-billed Gulls, 33 Fish Crows, 11 Horned Larks (one flock), 30 Robins,
65 Waxwings, 3 RW Blackbirds.
Predictions:
Today was our last official day of the 2017 season. Thanks to everyone who
helped make this another great season! Although the official season is
over and raptor migration is winding down, some birds are still migrating
so if counters are available we may continue to occasionally conduct counts
for the next couple weeks.
