Yesterday, April 25 the first male Rose-breasted Grosbeak male Indigo Bunting
of the season visited our backyard feeders. Since 2000 Rose-breasted Grosbeaks
(as many as 6) have visited our feeders with an early date of 4-19-05 and a
late date of 5-2-06 and 5-2-07. The Grosbeaks feed on black-oil sunnflower
seed. Also yesterday was a visit by an Indigo Bunting. The Indigo Bunting fed
on thistle seed and black-oil sunflowere seed.
