Va Birders -
Sorry for the late posting. Yesterday at Huntley Meadows, Sandy Holton
and I saw a sizeable flock of Rusty Blackbirds, about 150, by the parking
lot at about
7:45 AM. They were "rolling over" and heading in the direction of
the park exit.
No other birds of outstanding interest, but we did see 11 Snipe, a few
Great
Blue Herons, a few ducks, all paired up. No raptors, redwings trying to
impress their ladies and claim territories. Phoebes were noticed, too, at
least one pair billing and cooing.
Good birds to you,
Bev Leeuwenburg
