This evening I had 10 Rusty Blackbirds in a small mixed flock at Blandy
Experimental Farm (Clarke County). The flock included about 50 Brown-headed
Cowbirds and 15 Red-winged Blackbirds. The birds were in the Rattlesnake
Spring area. Other birds in the area included a Cooper's Hawk, Palm and
Yellow-rumped Warblers, Field, Song, Swamp, White-crowned, and
White-throated Sparrows, and an Eastern Towhee.
