Hello all
Just got back from checking on the Barn Owl on Rt. 637 in the Stuarts Draft
area . NO Barn Owl was seen today . I am wondering if it found better living
conditions since the cold snap we have had of late ? Any way after leaving the
silo & continuing on Rt. 637 , I came across a large flock of Blackbirds
feeding in a freshly cut corn field . In this flock I had about 3000 + birds of
five species . Red -- winged Blackbird -- 400 + , Rusty Blackbird -- 500 + ,
Common Grackle -- 600 + , Brown -headed Blackbird -- 1000 + & the ever loving
Starling -- 500 + . No Yellow - headed Blackbird ( RATS ) .
Other birds of interest today in the waterfowl line are as follows .

Redhead -- 1
Ring - necked Duck -- 2
Ruddy Duck -- 7
Pied -- billed Grebe -- 2
Am. Coot -- 7
