It's been a busy morning in my backyard. Today I saw my FOS JUNCO for the yard. I also had a handsome pair of YELLOW-BELLIED SAPSUCKERS working the tree trunks and a RED-BREASTED NUTHATCH visiting my sunflower seeds. I have seen and heard the nuthatches for several weeks, but this is the first time I have seen one at the feeder. However, I seem to have missed the best show of the day. There is a large pile of dove feathers underneath the feeders. It appears that our COOPER'S HAWK, who frequents the yard, was successful in securing breakfast this morning!
