I was pleasantly surprised to discover a Sandhill Crane at Manassas
Battlefield this evening. I was on the main trail behind Stuart Hill and
saw the Crane just after crossing Youngs Creek. The Crane was in the
wetlands restoration area. I followed him/her around for awhile and he/she
vocalized several times. I took some photos - if any of them are more than
blurs I'll post an update. The Crane was still foraging when I left.
