Was not a wild one, I was notified by 3 other members of Va-Bird, that there is
a breeder or collector in the area and the Crane was apparently an escapee
which explains why it allowed such a close approach.
It was still an unusual and wonderful experience and may be of interest to
anyone who would like to get up close and personal to a Sandhill Crane.
