This morning around 9:00 AM I observed five Sandhill Cranes foraging in a field
on the north side of Bulls Drive (off Seaside Road) in Northampton County. They
stayed around for a half hour or so until they were frightened away by someone
walking along the edge of the field. At that point they flew toward the
northwest and I saw them in the air a bit later flying north along Seaside
Road. I was unable to determine if they landed elsewhere.
