were seen this am at 10:30 from Farley Vale viewpoint. Initially hard to see
because they were a distance from Rt. 3 and viewers were looking straight into
glaring sun, but then they moved, as a group, and much better looks were had.
OTH, on LaGrange Rd., where people were specifically warned not to get on the
grass, when we went over there at least two cars were parked on the grass and
off the road. We told one of birders, an older man from Reston, about the
request, and he ignored it, saying he thought it was safer that way. If birders
don't listen, LaGrange could easily go the way the Remington road has gone -
and we wil lose access to a great birding spot.
