I was on my way home from the AMC 18 over by the Potomac Mills mall, when I
spotted a couple of ducks with black sides and white backs. We had just
turned left onto Prince William Parkway and stopped at the light near the
fire station. The pond was on our right and I was able to see the two ducks
as we drove by. The look of the bodies was all I got as we drove on, and I
knew they were either Scaups or Ring-necked. I always check the pond just
in case, but I never actually expect to see anything of any interest since
the only waterfowl I have ever seen was Canada Goose. Have a blessed Easter
