Our search for Rusty Blackbirds took us to Huntley Meadows, Dyke Marsh and
Daingerfield Island today. No luck with Rusty Blackbirds at all.  At Huntley
we found a nice assortment of ducks, including Gadwall, Northern Shoveler,
Ring-necked Ducks, Lesser Scaup, Hooded Mergansers, and Ruddy Ducks, but a
Pine Warbler was our best bird there.  The grebe show at Dyke Marsh
continues, with 3 Horned Grebes and a Red-necked Grebe observed. The Osprey
nest on the leaning pole at the Dyke Marsh marina seems surprisingly stable.
Amazing. Of course, our main goal was to document Rusty Blackbirds, but the
only Icterids we found were Common Grackles and Red-winged Blackbirds.
Couldn't even find a cowbird!
