Hello all Yesterday late afternoon I only had a few minutes of day light left &
I noticed an Owl that looked liked a Short - Eared but with Barn Owls now on
Bells Lane I was not 100% sure . I went back this afternoon & had enough light
to I D the Short -eared Owl . Also yesterday I talked to a club member who had
seen this Owl a few days ago . That would place it on Nov. 29th . The Cackling
Goose has moved to the Verona Area to the Industrial pond behind the Hardee's .
The following highlight birds were seen yesterday & today .
Cackling Goose -- 1 Dec 1st & 2nd pond behind Hardee's
Bald Eagle -- 2 adults - at Boy Scout camp -- Dec . 2nd -- winter peak count
No Harrier -- 7 with six seen on Bells Lane today
Barn Owl -- 2 - Dec. 1st -- Bells lane
Short -- eared Owl -- 1 Dec . 1st & 2nd - The first make it an early date
