VA BIRDers,
Marc Ribaudo, Russ Taylor and myself worked the fields along the Bridle
Trail at Sky Meadows on this overcast morning. It took us about 3.5 hrs to
complete the loop and highlights were Common Loon, Barn Owl, E. Phoebe, Tree
Swallow, House Wren, Orange-crowned Warbler, Nashville Warbler, many Yellow
Palm Warblers, Vesper Sparrow, Grasshopper Sparrow, and Lincoln's Sparrows.
Excellent numbers of Field, Savannah, Song and White-throated Sparrows
indicating that they are near their maximum passage through our area. The
list of the 59 species is below.
