Observation start time: 10:15:00
Observation end   time: 13:30:00
Total observation time: 3.25 hours

Official Counter:        BJ Little

Observers:

Visitors:
None

Weather:
Cool and windy. (10.6-12.5 degrees C.) Clear blue sky. A few small, low
clouds occasionally formed over the valley, but none crossed the ridge high
enough to help a solo hawk counter pull any birds out of the blue. Most
just dissolved. The northwest wind howled all morning, rising from 9mph to
16mph with serious gusts. Even the planes stayed low today.

Raptor Observations:
Two adult Bald Eagles, presumably locals, drifted north and south
throughout the morning, sliding south almost to Route 7, riding up in
circles to considerable heights and then sliding back north again, I
presume just monitoring their territory.
11:07 GOEA juvenile. Light carpal patches, white base of tail with dark
terminus, belly warm medium brown in the sun, totally steady in the gusty
wind, hunting slowly down the west side of the ridge.

Non-raptor Observations:
