Just before 6 pm tonight, a few hardy birders got distant but definitive views
of a Snowy Owl on the runway at National Airport. It was observed for about
twenty minutes or so until a nearby jet chased it away. It was not found again
before cold winds and darkness took over. So the bottom line is at least one
Snowy is still at National for now. Bob in Arlington
