I and several other birders saw the snowy owl at Dulles this morning, January
28 at about 9:50. I arrived at the top of the garage around 9:35 and no one
else was around, which I found a little disconcerting. I expected a crowd. It
took a while, but I finally found the bird on top of a tall light tower pretty
far away, beyond the terminal building (terminal D?). At one point it was dive
bombed by a gull. We watched it for about 20 minutes. It was in the same spot
when I left.
