We just had our FOS Ruby-throated hummingbird (male) at one of our feeders.
Earlier, we were awoken by two very vocal barred owls then heard turkeys in
the marsh. The joys of sleeping with the windows open.
We still have juncos -- later than ever. Also purple finches -- two males
and three females, but did see a male house finch yesterday. Our
red-shouldered hawks are clearly nesting close by and we got to see one eat
a hearty breakfast -- possibly a squirrel..
