Went down to Staunton River State Park last evening hoping for a look at the
molting American Golden Plover that Adam D'Onofrio saw from the Staunton View
Park side in the morning, but no such luck. I did count 50 immature White Ibis
as well as all the usual suspects.
I went to Staunton View Park from about 7:30 to 9:00 this morning and again no
Golden Plover... also the Marbled Godwit and Tricolored Heron were no shows. I
did see a Short-billed Dowitcher. I did not count the Ibis this morning but it
looked to be a similar number to last evening or a few less, but still a LOT of
Ibises.
I trust everyone made it through the earthquake all right. Here is South Boston
things shook a bit and our refrigerator moved out about 5 inches and some
pictures went crooked but that is about all.
