I was at a property in Sugar Hollow (3 miles west of White Hall is western
Albemarle Co.) about 11:00 this morning listening to Ravens and watching Turkey
and Black Vultures when a 2nd year Bald Eagle, lower and closer than the
vultures, presented him/her self and circled the house for about 7 minutes.
This was the first time I have seen an eagle on this property although my
neighbor (same driveway) saw an adult eagle within a mile of this site last
week.
Coulda been a Santa-scout, I suppose.
