Hi all,
Ay lunch today I saw about 43+ Northern Rough-winged Swallows on the roof
above the chapel and some of the classrooms. I got great views of the ones
flying near the cafeteria windows. I thought it was rather strange that they
were perched on the roof and flying around in the area surrounded by the
cafeteria windows, the chapel, and classrooms (right across the cafeteria).
They did not often stray from that 3/4 rectangular area except when they
suddenly all flushed and swooped down then I am guessing dispersed. They did
that twice and came back both times. I did not see any raptors.
