Rock ridge co-
At approximately 9:20 am the 4th kite appeared about 2 minutes after one of the
perched kites took to the air this morning. It had been perched a good distance
from the three. It came up from behind where we were standing, wings pulled in
tight and zooming across the road and field. It made a pass around the one
circling bird and then took off and was not observed again. The three
remaining kites were observed circling over the fields and eventually headed
back toward the fields near the first site. Along Rt 251 at private entrance to
Beaver Creek Trc the 3 were last observed along with one resident Red-tail and
two Broad-winged Hawks (imm and adult).
