This morning a swan visited the park for about an hour. Because there was
no yellow at the base of its bill, I flip-flopped between identifying it as
a Tundra or a Trumpeter, finally settling on Tundra because it was all
white and, of the two possibilities, that was the more common swan for this
region.
But I'm happy to accept the verdict of more experienced folks in
VA-birdland. See photos @

Note the tip of the bill on the right side seems to have been malformed or
damaged.
