A friend and I went up to the VA Wildflower preserve
at Thompson WMA on the border of Fauquier and Warren counties to check
things out. The trilliums were
blooming like crazy. Also present were Blue-headed
Vireo, Redstart, and Hooded Warbler and about a ka-zillion
Towhees as well as the usual suspects.
