This is pesky, I know, to post again on account of a lapsus, but I typed
"John Dillinger (p. 105 - at the banding station)" - this is, of course, John
Dillard (!), who has been a part of the station for decades and banded
countless.
To mix up John's name with one of the country's most notorious bank robbers
is so terrible - I have to apologize here. I guess it's not just the eyes
that are going - when banders and bandits are reversed, I don't know if there's
much hope for Semipalmated vs. Western!
