While working in the yard this morning I heard but never saw Tundra
Swans. For about 5 minutes I could hear the bird before their sounds
disappeared in northern direction. Always fun to here these swans. We do
not get them just west of Catoctin Mountain a lot.
Our yard is currently overrun by American Goldfinches. As the day goes
on more and more are at the tube and platform feeder. Many of them are
also drinking from the various water features. Lots of color difference
and some males are starting to have nice bright patches of yellow.
