I checked the Cameron Run area about 6:45pm today, east of the Stone Bridge.
There were several hundred Ring-bill Gulls resting on some "sand bars".
I was looking for Caspian Terns or perhaps a swallow,
but instead I saw two gulls with black heads.
They were at a great distance from me, but a Ring-bill came along and chased
the two "black head gulls" into flight.
Once in the air, the dark gray wings and back of the Laughing Gulls,
were clearly seen in contrast with the color of the pursuing Ring-bill Gull.

The two Laughing Gulls were seen from the Alexandria City shore line;
but were probably across Cameron Run "city/county" dividing line in the Fairfax
County sector of the river.
