Merry Christmas to all!
While out cleaning the bird deposits from my car this
morning there were over 200+Grackles, 100+Starlings,
150+Robins, 3 Chickadees, 1 Titmouse, 25+ house
Finches, 3+Cardinals, several Sparrows (little BB's to
me), 3 Blue Jays and 1 Carolina Wren all clearing out
my feeders and turning all leaves over in my yard and
cleaning out my gutters at once.
These were the most unusal looking birds I have seen
in quite awhile: 2 starlings with all the correct
markings except their wings were bright yellow.
I checked all my many books to see if they might have
been Red-winged Blackbirds, which I have seen with
some yellow on them, but these were definitely not
Blackbirds.
I ran to get my camera, but my neighborhood Red-tailed
decided to clear out my yard and the entire street by
making an appearance. Today is the first day in
sometime that my birds have been around because of my
new yard bird the Red-tailed.
Hope they appear again, am ready for them this time.
