Hi all,
On behalf of those of who may not have birded for years, or are at least
not greatly familiar with the abbreviations of bird names, I would ask that
as folks post to Va-Bird that you consider listing the full species names or
at least full words to describe sightings.
While I know that it may take a bit more time to type out, I think this
makes things more accessible to all who are reading, and helps to prevent
those beginning birders (and some of us who have been doing it for a while!)
from being totally lost in a world of abbreviations and acronyms.
I consider myself a warbler fanatic, but finding BTGW or CS Warbler on a
listing makes me think awful hard about what birds were being seen.
Certainly not a requirement, but something that might be helpful.
