Thank you, George, for sending in your observations.
I live in a rural area and all of the folks who have responded thus far have
been in urban areas, judging by the addresses. So now I'm wondering if there
might be a difference in behavior between rural and urban/suburban
mockingbirds. One person suggested to me that maybe the rural mockingbirds
move into the more developed areas where there might be more food, and I would
also say it would be warmer as well.
If anyone else has observations to share, I'd love to get them. And thanks to
all of the people who have contacted me personally. I really appreciate it.
