This is definitely a first for our yard, a 3rd Sapsucker, this one an adult
male.

I'm beginning to wonder if I should have stayed at home to bird this morning.
Now a juvenile Yellow-bellied Sapsucker is foraging on a Tulip Tree while a
Hairy Woodpecker is on the suet feeder.

Tanager
While making my lunch (after birding at Leesylvania SP), I noticed a female
Purple Finch on the nyjer feeder with some Goldfinches. A mob of House Sparrows
was on and under the suet feeder, and among them a Scarlet Tanager was picking
up suet crumbs, then began chasing House Sparrows.
