April 30, the deadline for what promises to be a great VSO Annual Meeting,
is rapidly approaching!
The Monticello Bird Club and the Augusta Bird Club are sponsoring this
year's VSO annual meeting from May 8-10. It will be headquartered at the
beautiful Wintergreen Resort with its spectacular mountain-top setting. Full

Join us for a very special weekend of birding and excellent companionship.
In addition to a variety of field trips designed to find Blue Ridge avian
specialties, a special highlight of the weekend will be the Saturday evening
banquet with keynote speaker Scott Weidensaul, internationally known author,
naturalist, conservationist, and Pulitzer-Prize nominee. He'll speak on
Project SNOWStorm, focusing on Snowy Owls. On Friday night Marshall Faintich
will introduce us to the birds of Wintergreen and Nelson County.
