Every year, the VSO awards Conservation Grants,usually in the amount of
$500.00 to $1,000.00, to individuals/groups doing research or projects in
the field of bird conservation in Virginia*. *Applicants are encouraged to
submit a request in writing to the Conservation Committee Chair. They
should provide an amount of money being requested, what the money will be
used for, a justification as to why it is important to bird conservation in
Virginia and what positive impact will be made on the conservation of
Virginia birds. The Conservation Committee will then consider and award
the grants.
