Dear va-bird listserve users,
As of July 1, I began my term as president of the Virginia Society of
Ornithology, the organization that sponsors this list-serve. The VSO extends
its gratitude to Past-President, Rexanne Bruno, for her outstanding service to
the VSO over the past two years.
Please direct your general VSO inquiries and comments to me. If you are not a
VSO member, I invite you to learn more by visiting our web site and to consider
membership. We welcome and need new members at all levels of knowledge and
experience: from beginning birders to wildlife biology professionals. All you
need is your enthusiasm for birds and desire to help study and protect them.
We hope you continue to enjoy this listserve and share your interesting
sightings of and experiences with Virginia's birds. We also host a Facebook
page for you to directly share your photos, videos, and links to interesting
