No luck. About 7:30, at the end of Haul where the path turns toward the
boardwalk, I decided to watch for a few minutes. After about 10 minutes of
woodpeckers and chickadees, I noticed a bird glide in and perch. I was very
happy to see the black-billed cuckoo. It perched for about 15 seconds and
then flew off. I checked the area on the way back but did not refind the
cuckoo.

Another birder had a close look at a least bittern just off the bridge on
the way to the boardwalk - about 8:30 or 9:00 AM.
