You don't say where you are located, but in the Washington, DC area, I have
given specimens to both the Smithsonian and George Mason University.

Hello VA/DC birding community,
Does anyone know if any institutions would be at all interested in a window
killed adult Wood Cock? I found it walking to the American Bird Conservancy.
It died an hour ago after flying into a Citibank plate glass window. What
made this window particularly attractive to the bird was the copious amounts
of greenery in the window...
If anyone knows of anyone who would like this fine specimen, please contact
me at jgbrc@xxxxxxxxx.
Good birding!
