i often see pileated woodpeckers on the ground working on dead tress or limbs -
but i have never seen a crow rally chase one - but crows are starting to nest
right now, i had one family here carting horse hair today - so they may just be
more territorial with everything right now - christie huffman, great falls , va

improbable. However, with the unseasonably warm weather we have been
having and the fact that the crows chased it away, which I have never seen
them
do to any other birds in our backyard, I thought perhaps maybe I was not
just "seeing things." Is this indeed a possibility? Have there been any
other possible sightings?
