Now that I look closer at the pic, I guess they are Mottled Ducks. That
would explain why the pattern on the bodies didn't match either the Mallard
or the Black. I'd seen Mottled Ducks previously and thought they had a
larger, more droopy bill. Thanks to all who replied.
