Oh, I wish the Great Crested Flycatchers would come back to my yard! I used
to hear them all summer long but in the last several years - nothing! I'm
not wallowing in misery but I miss them very much!

This afternoon during a brief inter-inning foray into the backyard I heard
the unmistakable wheeeep of a Great Crested Flycatcher. He and his spouse
can have our Purple Martin house, all twelve cavities, since once again, for
the the twelfth year in a row we have no nesting martins. Sigh!
