There was a small mob earlier in the day! Thank you Elisa and others for a
great afternoon!

Subject: [Va-bird] Photos: Fork-tailed Flycatcher
I had to work today, so when I checked my e-mail at lunch and learned about
Elisa Enders' discovery of a Fork-tailed Flycatcher in Chesapeake, I could
hardly stand it, and the rest of the day crawled by. I was able to get to
the spot when Elisa sited the bird around 6:00 p.m., and for about a half
hour I watched it -- and one Dickcissel. Unfortunately the sun was not
shining and my photos are dark, but maybe tomorrow will bring some better
light and better photos.
I posted 5 photos on my Flickr page: here are two direct links, and you can
see the others by moving through the photostream.

Mike Ilwanik and his friend showed up while I was there, but I was very
surprised to see no other birders there. Maybe tomorrow everyone will
descend upon the intersection of Hertz and Peach: if so, please park
carefully and courteously, as roads are narrow with no shoulders to speak
of.
Thank you Elisa for a wonderful discovery.
