Gerry and a VCU ornithology prof also saw one at the Wetlands awhile back
(off Forest Hill Ave). Allen Larner and I saw two at Rt. 10 and I95 awhile
back, but I don't remember the date. Robert's birds are not far from the
Vulcan quarry in the Short Pump area.

They seem to be becoming increasingly common away from their "historical"
range - there have been numerous sightings in this area and also further
south along 288 at the Route 60 interchange, and I've had them at several
locations in Powhatan, and there are reports as far south as South Boston.

Two ravens just spotted sailing north near Tuckahoe Creek Parkway & 288.
ertainly not as exciting as the VG Swallow in Charlottesville, but it is
ncommon for central VA.
